First stage of a long theatre project dedicated to the speeches addressed to a community, the radio drama explores the forms and rhetorics of the official interventions broadcasted on the radio. Playing with the commonplaces of radio oratory and bringing out the potential of words immersed in a surprising and intricate dramaturgy, the voice of Marco Cavalcoli, formerly virtuoso interpreter of the ventriloquist Wizard of Oz, embodies a mysterious President performing an important speech to be pronounced to the Nation.

According to the official press agency, the President, in the evening of next Saturday, November 26th, will address himself to the Nation. The speech will be broadcasted on Radio3. Of course it’s not the first time, in History, that a President speaks, on the radio, to a Country. There. The President will speak. What’s wrong with that? What’s going to happen? If you recognize his voice, you will understand.
