“A perfect Master ye may call him true, which knoweth his heats high and lowe. Nothing may let hinder more your desires, than ignorance of heats of your fires.” Thomas Norton

The eight electronic compositions of In Nomine Lucis are the “transcription” of the memory of the direct experience of composer Giacinto Scelsci’s body of sound which Luigi De Angelis and Sergio Policicchio carried out at the archives of Fondazione Isabella Scelsi in Rome: here are kept more than 300 hours of improvisations, annotations, musical intuitions which the composer delivered to the custody of magnetic tape.
Starting from these listenings and the indelible mark they left, In Nomine Lucis is the attempt at rendering that meeting and that experience through a process of sound descent in 8 movements, intertwined with the performance of Khoom and Sauh I. 4 gradients and 4 qualities of fire govern this process of backward journey.

Giacinto Scelsi had foreseen that he would have died on the day when all the 8s were lined up: on 1988 / 8 / 8 he asked to be accompanied to the seaside for a sunbath. He lay down on a beach chair and fell asleep forever.
